In an attempt to conquer my fear of 3D art, I’ve spent all semester working on a sculptural base for the suspended centerpiece of my installation (which, incidentally, goes up in sixteen days – a truly freak-out-worthy fact). Let me tell you what I’ve learned: you actually CAN poke your eye out on art. I’ve almost done this many times now.
Rather than explain the purpose and plan for this whole thing, I’ll use this post to intrigue (also, it’s chicken fried steak day in the cafeteria, and I’d be breaking tradition if I didn’t indulge, so I’m short on time anyway).
It’s nowhere near finished, of course, but this is the progress I’ve made so far.
Now. I’m off to go enjoy some truly disgusting goodness (why does chicken fried steak even exist?!).
